The pizza ranch Story

Pizza Ranch was born in 2009 when founders Jake and Maria Castillo opened their first kitchen on State Highway 248 in Branson, Missouri. Their dream was simple but powerful: bring the bold, tangy spirit of ranch-style cooking to handcrafted pizza in a way no one had tried before.

What started as a tiny ten-table dining room quickly grew into a beloved local landmark. Word spread fast — neighbors, tourists, and families drove miles to experience the signature pizzaranch crust, the house-made ranch-infused sauces, and the warm atmosphere that felt like Sunday dinner at grandma's.

2009

The First Slice

Jake and Maria Castillo open Pizza Ranch in a cozy 10-table space on State Hwy 248. The ranch pizza concept is born — hand-tossed dough, house-made ranch sauce, and bold toppings from local farms.

2012

Growing the Ranch

Overwhelming demand drives a full dining room expansion — seating grows to 80 guests. Pizza Ranch introduces its first catering menu, serving Branson weddings, corporate events, and school fundraisers.

2015

Award-Winning Flavor

Pizza Ranch earns "Best Pizza in Branson" from the Ozark Food & Wine Festival — three years running. The signature Smoky Ranch BBQ Chicken pizza becomes a regional icon.

2018

Online & On the Go

Pizza Ranch launches online ordering and a dedicated delivery zone covering greater Branson. Customers can now enjoy authentic pizzaranch flavors at home with just a few clicks.

2021

Rebrand & Refresh

A full interior redesign gives the restaurant a vibrant, modern feel while honoring its ranch heritage. A new seasonal menu programme keeps pizza ranch fans coming back for something new every quarter.

Jake trained at the Culinary Institute of America before returning to Branson to start Pizza Ranch. He perfects every sauce recipe and mentors the kitchen team daily.

Co-Founder & Operations Director

Maria keeps everything running smoothly — from supplier relationships to staff schedules. Her warmth and vision have shaped Pizza Ranch's legendary hospitality culture.

Darnell has been with Pizza Ranch since 2011. He's the master behind the hand-stretched crust and the creative force driving our seasonal specialty pizzas each quarter.
